More than 968,600 tons of garbage were removed in June

Deng Jianping, Director of the Municipal Bureau of Greening and City Appearance, introduced five aspects of the effectiveness of garbage classification in the past year. Data show that in June this year, the total amount of domestic waste removal in the city was more than 968,600 tons, compared with the same period last year to achieve the goal of "three increases and one reduction". The amount of recyclables collected was 6813.7 tons/day, an increase of 71.1%, the amount of harmful waste was 3.3 tons/day, an increase of 11.2 times, the amount of wet waste was 9,632.1 tons/day, an increase of 38.5%, and the amount of dry waste disposal was 15,518.2 tons/day, a decrease of 19.8%.

The results of the evaluation of the effectiveness of garbage classification in the first half of the year show that the classification compliance rate of residential areas has increased from 15% before the implementation of the Regulations to more than 90%, and the classification compliance rate of units has reached 90%, and most residents have formed a conscious classification habit.

In addition, the city has completed the standardized transformation of more than 21,000 classified drop points, and the number of road waste boxes has been optimized and adjusted to more than 41,000; A total of 1,537 wet garbage trucks, 3,077 dry garbage trucks, 99 hazardous garbage trucks, and 239 recyclables were installed. More than 15,000 recyclable recycling service points, 201 transfer stations and 10 distribution yards have been built. The 15 domestic waste disposal facilities identified in the "13th Five-Year Plan" have all started, and the total capacity of dry waste incineration and wet waste disposal has reached 24,350 tons/day.

Forty-four supporting documents have been issued

The promotion of garbage classification is inseparable from the support of all walks of life. Up to now, Shanghai has issued the Implementation Opinions on Implementing the "Regulations" and Promoting the Construction of the Whole Classification System and 44 supporting documents, and established 16 district-level volunteer service teams and 53 sub-district (township) volunteer service teams.

Deng Jianping concluded that garbage classification is effective, thanks to many aspects. The Municipal Development and Reform Commission and the Municipal Finance Bureau formulated special subsidies for household waste classification and other support policies, the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Committee formulated standards for the utilization of wet waste agricultural resources, the Municipal Commerce Committee promoted green consumption, and incorporated green restaurants and civilized restaurants to create standards. In addition, 10 districts in Shanghai have been set up as demonstration zones for garbage sorting. Develop a wet waste product promotion policy

The second year of garbage sorting, what will Shanghai do next? Deng Jianping said Shanghai will continue to improve the accuracy of sorting, ease of delivery and recycling of waste. At the same time, Shanghai will complete the standardization audit of 6,000 recyclable service points, 170 transfer stations and 10 distribution yards; Cultivate a number of functional resource utilization projects to ensure the stability of low-value recyclables, and achieve full coverage recycling, full variety utilization, and full caliber statistics.

Disposal capacity building is also a focus of attention. In the next step, the dry waste incineration capacity will be added by 2000 tons/day, and the total dry waste incineration capacity will reach 21300 tons/day. The new centralized disposal capacity of wet waste is 1450 tons/day, and the on-site processing capacity is 500 tons/day, and the total wet waste treatment capacity reaches 7,000 tons/day. It is expected that by the end of this year, the basic realization of zero domestic waste landfill.

In terms of policy support, the promotion policy of wet waste utilization products will be studied and formulated in combination with soil pollution control and fertilizer reduction work. We will fully implement the subsidy policy for recycling low-value recyclables and increase the utilization rate of resource recycling. In addition, Shanghai will continue to carry out law enforcement inspections, focusing on the source reduction system, the obligations of classified delivery management responsibilities, and the implementation of classified delivery regulations in public places.
